Abstract

Theoretical estimation of the InGaAsP optical ADQW-EAM’s yielded ~3.5 times enhancement of slope efficiency at much reduced operating bias-field against comparable SQW EAM’s, which is attributed to field-induced exciton anticrossing and line-broadening in ADQW’s.
