Near-field study of double-layered gold nanorods

Abstract

An optical negative-index material, double-layered gold nanorods, is studied in the near-field for reflection and transmission modes at different near-field probes, wavelengths and polarizations of light. The enhanced optical near-field transmission is observed under certain parameters.
