Multiplexing of optical channels as a function of orbital angular momentum of photons

Abstract

Presence of orbital angular momentum is experimentally verified in channels of spatially multiplexed fiber optic systems. A novel multiplexing scheme based on orbital angular momentum of photons is also presented.
