Abstract

Technology blocks based on Single Active Layer, Selective Area Growth, AlGaInAs Quantum Wells and Semi-Insulating Buried Heterostructure are assembled in a platform open to evolve in integration complexity. Examples of uncooled Directly Modulated Lasers, high-speed Electroabsorption Modulated Lasers and Colorless Reflective Amplified Modulators emphasize the platform versatility for 10-100Gb/s low-cost access and core network sources.
