Abstract

We demonstrate an in-situ thermal/Brillouin characterization of an ytterbium-doped fiber laser operating at 1.09 μm using a Brillouin optical time domain analysis technique, where we utilize 1.55-μm wavelength light as Brillouin pump and probe beams.
