Plasmonic Scattering Enhancement of Quantum Well Solar Cells

Abstract

Quantum-well solar cells offer a route to photovoltaic power conversion with predicted efficiencies of 45-63%. We discuss methods of improving their performance by engineering photon propagation paths via scattering from metal or dielectric nanoparticles.
