Fabry-Perot Nanocavities in 3D Plasmonic Crystals

Abstract

Extraordinary light transmission through Fabry-Perot cavities in 3D plasmonic cystals created by two physically separated plasmonic layers is demonstrated. These cavity resonances show large field enhancements and are highly sensitive to refractive index changes.
