Large Single-Molecule Fluorescence Enhancements Produced by a Bowtie Nanoantenna

Abstract

By coating a lithographically-fabricated bowtie nanoantenna with fluorescent molecules doped into a thin polymer layer, the enhancement of a single-molecule’s fluorescence emission by factors up to 1340x is measured, much higher that previously reported [1-3].
