Abstract
We present a solar cell architecture that simultaneously accentuates the benefits of lead chalcogenide colloidal quantum dots while addressing their shortcomings. The resulting 3-dimensional heterojunction exhibits over 5% power conversion efficiency. We further show that gold contacts can be replaced with far less expensive nickel contacts without compromising performance.
