Transport of OAM-Based QuNits through Few-Mode Optical Fibers

Abstract

We report how entangled photons carrying a superposition of orbital angular momentum (OAM) eigenstates suffer decoherence when transported through a few-mode optical fiber. We find that hollow-core Kagome fibers show by far the least decoherence.
