Controlling the Acceleration Direction and Peak Location of Airy Beams by Nonlinear Optical Process

Abstract

Nonlinear generation of an accelerating Airy beam in an asymmetrically poled nonlinear photonic crystal enables to all-optically control the sign and magnitude of the acceleration direction and to change the location of its peak intensity.
