Effects of Diffraction and Partial Reflection in Multilayered Gradient Index Polymer Lenses

Abstract

Multilayered gradient index polymer lenses are fabricated with many layers of polymers with different refractive indices. It is shown that, in principle, diffractive and reflective losses are <4 × 10−4 for a typical lens.
