Abstract

We implement a new approach for creating broadband mid-infrared frequency combs by using subharmonic optical parametric oscillator synchronously pumped by 1560-nm femtosecond Er-fiber laser pulses. The source produced > 1400-nm-wide frequency comb centered at 3.1μm.
