Abstract

A high-speed Anti-Brownian ELectrokinetic trap enables extended observation of sub-10nm fluorescent objects in solution. For example, single chaperonin enzymes loaded with Cy3-ATP display stepwise photobleaching intensity traces corresponding to the ATP binding/hydrolysis stoichiometry and cooperativity.
