Anderson Localization as position-dependent diffusion in disordered waveguides

Abstract

Recently developed self-consistent theory of Anderson localization with position-dependent diffusion coefficient is shown to be in quantitative agreement with the results of abinitio simulations of wave transport in disordered waveguides, even in presence of absorption.
