Nanoparticle Detection in Water by Mode Splitting in An Optical Microresonator

Abstract

We demonstrated detection of polystrene nanoparticles with radius of 50 nm in water using mode splitting in a microresonator in water. We observed different evolution of mode splitting spectra corresponding to different particle solution concentrations.
