Abstract

We performed nonlinear compression of transform limited 75-fs laser pulses delivered by a long-cavity Ti:sapphire oscillator to 18-fs, 75-nJ pulses using large mode area photonic crystal fibres and chirped mirrors in a simple, scalable scheme.
