Low-Power Modulation by Dynamic Control of High-Q Microresonator-Waveguide Coupling

Abstract

A compact design based on high-Q microdisk resonators is proposed for low-power modulation where anti-symmetric operation of two phase shifters leads to significant insertion loss reduction. Operation analysis and design procedure are presented.
