Loss Measurements in Silicon Hollow-Core Waveguides with Metastructure High-Contrast Grating

Abstract

We report propagation loss measurements in our novel silicon-based metastructure hollow-core waveguides which show <-2dB/cm low-loss region near 1550 nm. Polarization dependent loss was also measured.
