Ultrafast Tilting of the Dispersion of a Photonic Crystal and Adiabatic Spectral Compression of Light Pulses

Abstract

We demonstrate that partial mode perturbation in a photonic crystal waveguide tilts the dispersion by 11% following the absorption of an ultrafast pump pulse, and leads to the spectral compression of a probe pulse.
