Quasicrystalline metamaterials

Abstract

We introduce a novel class of metamaterials with a quasicrystalline meta-atom arrangement. We study their properties in comparison to periodic and disordered metamaterials. We show that quasicrystalline metamaterials exhibit isotropic properties while preserving pronounced resonances.
