Femtosecond mid-IR laser source based on intense Stokes pulse generation in a photonic crystal fiber

Abstract

We report a novel approach to femtosecond mid-IR laser source employing intense Stokes pulse generation from a unique photonic crystal fiber. We achieve 2.4 mW to 3 mW of power at 40 MHz from 5.3 μm to 6 μm wavelength.
