Frequency comb generation via optomechanical nonlinearity in evacuated dual-nanoweb fibre

Abstract

We report stimulated Raman-like optoacoustic generation of a 6 MHz optical frequency comb upon launching CW laser light into a 12 cm long evacuated dual-nanoweb fibre. The threshold power is only a few mW.
