Abstract
We generate low-threshold supercontinuum spanning the wavelength range 1‒2 μm in highly nonlinear and mechanically robust step-index chalcogenide nanotapers. The high index-contrast improves the mode confinement and increases the waveguide dispersion in the nanotapers.
