Abstract

We demonstrate a (>200 nm) broadband laser source centered at 850 nm based on a 3 GHz Yb-fiber laser. The spectrum generated by fiber-optic Cherenkov radiation produces ~14-fs compressed pulses with 184-mW average power after phase compensation using 8 double-chirped mirrors.
