Second Harmonic Generation by Metamagnetics: Interplay of Electric and Magnetic Resonances

Abstract

We present the first experimental study of the interplay of electric and magnetic resonances in a metamaterial to measure their independent contributions to second-harmonic generation. Experiments indicate evident contribution to SHG from fundamental magnetic field.
