Abstract
The degree of polarization of beam-like fields has an interferometric interpretation similar to that of the electromagnetic degree of coherence. We present Young’s interferometric measurements of the degree of polarization associated with constructed, partially polarized beams and compare the results with those obtained with the conventional technique.
