Broadening the Sub-Standard-Quantum-Limit Region in Quantum Noise Limited Sensitivity for Gravitational Wave Detectors

Abstract

We present schemes for gravitational wave detectors that incorporate anomalous dispersion in signal recycling, exhibiting a broad region below the standard quantum limit in the quantum noise limited sensitivity curves, which corresponds to opto-mechanical resonance.
