Interfacing optical quantum memories with telecommunication optical fibres

Abstract

We present experiments interfacing optical quantum memories based on rare-earth doped solids and cold atomic gases with telecom fibres, using a widely non degenerate quantum light source and an integrated optics quantum frequency conversion device.
