Ultrafast Non-Paraxial Autofocusing Pulses for High-Gradient Electron Acceleration

Abstract

We present ultrafast non-paraxial autofocusing beams that exhibit abrupt, ultra-intense focusing in both space and time. We demonstrate their ability to linearly accelerate on-axis electrons with effective gradients exceeding 300 GeV/m.
