Abstract

There are large individual differences in the cones densities at specific retinal locations. We modelled the total cones within a central circle of 7 deg of retina, using data of healthy, young subjects collected with Adaptive Optics Scanning Laser Ophthalmoscope. An average total of 221,000 cones was computed, with less variability in the total cones than at specific locations.
