Plasmonic nanoisland-based cell microscopy for sub-diffraction-limited imaging

Abstract

We have explored sub-diffraction-limit cellular imaging using blocked nanoislands based on surface plasmon localization. Intracellular actin filaments were visualized on nanoislands and resolved by localized near-fields in the range of 100-150 nm.
