Wavefront Sensing via Attenuated Reflection using Near-Resonant Surface-Plasmon Polariton Excitation

Abstract

Intensity variations are commonly used in curvature sensing of aberrations. Here, we demonstrate that attenuated reflection in near-resonant excitation of surface-plasmon polaritons can be used to determine gradients from which the wavefront may be reconstructed.
