Mechanical Action of Optical Spin-Orbit Interaction

Abstract

The transformation of spin angular momentum into an orbital one breaks the mirror symmetry of scattering. An adjacent interface further distorts the central symmetry and induces an anomalous lateral force on the scattering object.
