Storing Light as Sound in a Photonic Integrated Circuit

Not Accessible

Your library or personal account may give you access

Abstract

We demonstrate for the first time the storage of nanosecond light pulses as acoustic phonons in a photonic integrated circuit. The light pulses are subsequently retrieved, after being stored for several nanoseconds.
