Fast-light Enhanced Brillouin Laser Based Active Fiber Optics Sensor for Simultaneous Measurement of Rotation and Acceleration

Abstract

We show an enhancement of ~358 for two counter-propagating Brillouin lasers in the sensitivity of an Active Fast Light Fiber Optic Sensor, which performs as a gyroscope and a sensor for acceleration, strain and temperature.
