Abstract

Due to the difficulty experienced in building large Ti-6Al-4V parts via powder bed fusion processes, in situ alloying of Ti-6Al-4V and 10 wt% molybdenum (Mo) was done. The results show a composite microstructure with more of the beta phase stabilised.
