Photo-electron streaking for synchronization of laser pulses with radiofrequency fields.

Abstract

Synchronization of cavity enhanced RF fields with laser triggered electron pulses is crucial in electron acceleration and temporal refocussing. We propose a method to measure jitter in situ and with femtosecond accuracy based on photo-electron streaking.
