Bimodal Phase-Matching in Nonlinear Plasmonics

Abstract

Bimodal phase-matching exploits the interplay between nonlinear scattering modes and waveguide modes to provide perfect phase-matching of second harmonic generation in hybrid photonic-plasmonic waveguides. Theoretical models and experimental verification are presented.
