An Unspoofable Ultrafast Silicon Photonic Physical Key

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

Physical keys store secret information in their structure. Here we demonstrate an unclonable key based on a nonlinear reverberant silicon photonic micro-cavity. Beyond cloning this key also cannot be emulated due to its ultrafast response.
