Using Near IR Scattering Nanoparticles to Improve Transparent Solar Cell Efficiency

Abstract

We use near IR scattering nanoparticles and a wavelength selective mirror to create a light trapping effect. When used with a transparent solar cell, theoretical calculations show that efficiency can double without decreasing transparency.
