Abstract

We present an all-normal dispersion fiber oscillator architecture which, unlike previously reported constructions, delivers high energy chirped pulses recompressible down to their Fourier transform limit duration. 2nJ, sub-160 fs pulses with a flat spectral phase directly from the oscillator were effectively used for supercontinuum generation.
