Mid-Infrared Dual-Comb Source Using a Silicon Microresonator

Abstract

We demonstrate a dual-comb source in the mid-infrared using soliton modelocking in two silicon microresonators. Modelocking is achieved simultaneously using a single continuous-wave pump source using thermal control and free-carrier injection.
