Constant intensity waves and transmission through non-Hermitian disordered media

Abstract

By using the concept of constant-intensity waves, we show that perfect transmission through the disordered media is possible. Such scattering states can exist in non-Hermitian scattering landscapes with suitably engineered gain-loss distributions.
