Abstract

The study on magnetic field enhancement provides a potential route to strong magnetic transition or magnetic metamaterials. In order to enhance the magnetic field, we propose a structure that consists of a dielectric island and a metal nanoslit array. We exploit the metallic nanoslit array as a nano-antenna which transfers electromagnetic energy into the dielectric island, which leads to the extreme magnetic field enhancement. We investigate the magnetic field enhancement in the metal nanoslit arrays and dielectric island. In numerical simulation, the proposed structure shows a huge magnetic field enhancement up to a factor of 61.
