Brillouin-based Light Storage of 200ps-long Pulses for 70 Pulse Widths

Abstract

We experimentally demonstrate the storage of optical pulses (200ps-long, eight amplitude levels) on a photonic chip for over 70 pulse widths with minimum distortions in pulse shape and width using a Brillouin-based memory.
