2-Beam action spectroscopies: A new class of methods for the measurement of the effective order of nonlinear absorption

Abstract

We introduce a new class of methods, based on excitation with two independent beams, for determining the order of effective nonlinearity in different materials. We discuss representative examples of 2-beam action spectroscopies and their applications.
