Three waveguide direction coupler based polarization splitter under stimulated Raman adiabatic passage

Abstract

We propose the design of a polarization splitter based on stimulated Raman adiabatic passage (STIRAP) mechanism in a three waveguide directional coupler. We show the practical feasibility of the device by carrying out simulations in lithium niobate waveguides.
