Abstract

There is a current lack of standardized test methods for evaluating pulsed laser-nanoparticle interaction damage thresholds. Photothermally-induced reshaping of 20-100 nm diameter gold nanospheres was characterized by spectrophotometry and electron microscopy, and damage thresholds determined.
