Nonlinear self-channeling of laser pulses through distributed atmospheric turbulence

Abstract

We present experimental evidence of a new propagation paradigm where a laser pulse, near the self-focusing power of air with a spot size smaller than the coherence diameter of turbulence, self-channels over hundreds of meters.
